The red light comes on when using the APZ-II.

The red light turns on when the air pressure is greater than the normal level. Also, it turns on when the earth pole touches a conductive object. We recommend you adjust the air pressure or to avoid conductive objects touching the earth pole.

Q 02.
I have an ionizing air blower. Can I use AC adapters commonly sold in stores?

No, you should not use AC adapters available in the market because their poles, connector standards and carrying capacities are different from those of our products.

Q 03.
Is it possible to extend the DC12 cable for the AC adapter of the ionizing air blower?

No, we do not produce extension cables but you may use a 100V extension cable available in stores.

Q 04.
I smell an ozone odor when using the ionizing air blower.
A 04.
 
While it is not possible to cut away the ozone generated in static elimination systems using corona discharges, this amount is harmless for humans. For further information, you can request our brochures. However, the user must be careful when using many static elimination devices in enclosed spaces, as ozone may be retained. For these cases, we recommended you purchase devices that create less ozone (AC types or DC types).

Q 05.
I would like to use the product in an explosion proof environment.

Only devices that have passed the explosion proof testing can be used within explosion proof environments. Usually, static elimination electrodes, ionizing air blowers, etc. are not explosion proof products. We also sell thess kind of devices, so please feel free to contact us for further details.

I would like to get a technical drawing of the air blower and the DFX's electrode.

Q 07.
The SAT30 is able to detect over current however, does the power supply voltage affect the amount of electric current?
A 07.
 
Yes, it does. The power supply voltage directly affects the electric current. For example, if the power supply voltage increases by 5%, the electric current also increases by 5%. Consequently, you must program the upper and lower limits of electric current, considering the power supply voltage fluctuations and dust levels. It is advisable that the upper limit be set up at 1.3 times and the lower limit 0.7 of the initial value of electric current.

Does the over current detector also detect dust?

In order to detect dirt in electrodes, we recommended you use the SAT-30 and use a stabilizing current set at AC100V/200V. Once disturbances are eliminated, the over current upper limit must be set up at 10% of the initial level. However, when the humidity increases the over current detector may start working because the electric current increases. Therefore, the upper limit must be established at a greater level. In case of combustion the amount of electric current more than doubles, then the upper level must be set up at 150% of the initial stage. However products other than the SAT-30 and the SAT-20 are not capable of such precise functions.

How do I measure the ion balance in the ionizer?

The ion balance of the ionizer must be measured with a special measurement device. Because most electrostatic measurement devices that are commercially sold were designed to measure electric fields they effectively measure the charge of objects however cannot measure atmospheric ions. One of our products, the Charged Plate Monitor which complies with S3.1-1991 of EOS/ESD specification, measures ion balance and static elimination time. It is the most appropriate tool for ion balance measurement.
